Canada Water Agency Experts Roundtable

Public Policy Chair, Thomas Axworthy and representatives of Massey College partners, the Walter and Duncan Gordon Foundation, and the Forum on Leadership on Water (FLOW), will participate in an experts roundtable convened by Canadian Environment Minister, Steven Guilbeault and the Canada Water Agency (CWA). The CWA will host the roundtable its Winnipeg headquarters from 1pm to 2pm, on October 16th, 2024.

The deliberations will be governed by the Chatham House Rule: that participants are free to use the information received, but neither the identity nor the affiliation of the speaker(s), nor that of any other participant, may be revealed.

Agenda

The following three questions will be discussed:

  1. How can the Canada Water Agency (CWA) best coordinate water management with provincial, territorial, municipal, and First nation governments, given their overlapping water jurisdictions?
  2. What are the best ways for the CWA to work with water community NGOs to educate the public?
